Write a persuasive blog post using one of your practice thesis statements to guide your writing.

Remember to give clear reasons and specific examples to support your argument.
1. Pick an unusual animal and persuade your audience that it would make the best pet. (Pick any creature that most people don't have as pets--that means no dogs, cats, hamsters, horses, rabbits, lizards, etc.) 2. We all have favorite activities that we enjoy. Write a a blog post convincing readers to try the activity that you enjoy most. 3. What is your all-time favorite movie? Write a blog post in which you persuade readers to watch this film. 1. Make sure you have the following on your site: a. About Me Page b. Blog with at least 1 blog post c. E-Portfolio Page 2. Check your link on my website under Links and Handouts--> Your Class Period--does it work? Does it link to your site? Is your site published? Check with me to correct it if it's not. Step 2: 1. Open your final Personal Narrative and delete your name and heading from the top. 2. Click "Save As" and rename the file as Personal Narrative Portfolio Copy **DO NOT FORGET to save it without your name if you are publishing it online! Step 3: Post the work on the Portfolio page of your site, using the link button. To attach a word or pages document to your page: 1. Type the title of the piece (eg My trip to the Zoo) 2. Highlight the title 3. Click on the link button 4. Click on the "File on Your Website" option-- to the right, in little blue letters, it says "Upload a file" 5. Choose the file from your computer and upload, then click "save." Step 4: Work on another blog post on the topic of your choice. Use the blog post rubric on my site. Dave is really annoyed one morning because on the way to school, his sister insisted on playing her Justin Bieber cd on full volume. He doesn’t like listening to Justin Bieber—he prefers classic rock music. In writing class that day, Dave writes a blog post about how much he hates Justin Bieber’s music and style. Kelly, one of Dave’s classmates, reads his blog post. She’s a huge Justin Bieber fan, and she is offended by his criticisms. How could he say such mean things about her favorite singer’s hair and clothing? She posts the following comment on his blog: Don’t be such a hater! You just hate him because your hair is so ugly.
