I think this means that so many people text they forget about actual writing. They think they can always text talk whether there writing in school or on the phone. I don't agree with the message because I don't know anyone that uses text talk anywhere other then there phone.

The message that this cartoon is hinting at is that when people text they are not do not put an enphasis on spelling and grammar. That is why the person did not feel it was important to know all the letters in the alphabet.

I think the message of the cartoon is that when we text we don't use proper words, like you and u, so we should use proper words. I know this because the teacher is trying to teach him the abc's but he says that he doesn't use all of them when he texts.

I think this message is trying to say that texting is destroying the language we us in our everyday lives. i know that the message is saying that texting destroys our language because the student does not use the ABC's when he texts.

The message of this passage is to teach kids at an early age that texting is not good for you because it teaches you slang and you wont know grammar or how to spell. Kids wont get to be anything in life because they wont get to collages and know one will be able to get anywhere in life.

The message that this cartoon is sending is that texting is taking over and ruining the English language. I know this because, in the picture, a very young child (young enough to be just learning his letters) is already texting and using texting abbreviations. A child that young should (a) not be texting, and (b) not be using abbreviations. All the letters are still important and we can't let texting abbreviations take over anything other than texting. Texting isn't all that people have to write - there are lots of other papers and things that need to be written but cannot be written in texting abbreviations. The artist of this comic is trying to tell its readers that texting is ruining our language. Similar to the Verizon-idea essay, the author is trying to make the point clear through some humor. He or she wants people to know that texting may be okay one and a while but kids might get the wrong idea about it. For example, the above comic. The child doesn’t seem to care much about his education (or about English) and he’d much rather be texting then learning. I think that this comic is a good way for people to see that texting has gotten out of hand.

This cartoon is showing that texting is ruining children's vocabulary and is taking away the importance of the English language. I disagree with this cartoon because texting is just a shortcut that everyone uses. A person has to know the real word to shorten it! Also, most people do not talk in texting forms because it sounds weird and immature.

It is that texting is affecting the way you spell things. He says he doesn't use all the letters so he might not use H. So he will say, wat when asking a question? I know this because this sometimes happens to me and I type "slang". It happens to my friends I text to also. It is not ok to text like this.

Author’s saying: that when you text, your tarnishing the English language by texting shortened words or abbreviations. I know this because I do this all the time! For example, "c u l8ter!" You're suppose to say " See you later!" etc.

I think the artist who made this photo means that all children are using text messaging too much. The kid was saying that he usually doesn't use the full alphabet, but shortens the words, while he texts.

This cartoon shows that kids everywhere aren't using proper grammar when texting and teachers are worried that they will forget how to use proper english. i can tell because if the kid in the cartoon is like that, then he isn't alone.

This message shows how texting vocabulary ruins your normal vocabulary. This teacher is trying to say when you text you should use your normal vocabulary

I believe that the artist was trying to say that since kids text too much it is affecting the in school. It limits their vocab and use slang too much that they can forget the alphabet! I think the author thinks kids should lay off the texting because it is affecting them too much that kids are making a fool out of them selves.

I think this means that kids our age are starting to use "text words" over regular words. The kid is explaining that he should not learn the real words and the english language but, it is very important.

The meaning of this message is that too many kids text and it is getting in the heads of our youngsters.

This cartoon shows that text messaging has become a problem in the U.S. Kids don't think they need to know their ABC's because they don't use all the letters while they text. But, they need to use proper English in school and while writing. This means they need to use all the letters.

I think that the artist was trying to show that kids text to much. He is trying to show that texting affects kid's English. The child in the picture doesn't use the all the letters in the alphabet when he texts, but instead shortens the words.

The cartoon show that a child is questioning if he needs to know all the letters in the alphabet because he does not use the letters when he texts. The kid seemed to have mixed up letters with test letters. This is a bad thing because you should only sopeak English to benifit yourself.

I think the message of this cartoon is that kids apply text messaging to the English language. When kids text, they only use some letters of the alphabet, but not all of them. 1/9/2012 11:41:12 pm
I think this cartoon means that if people are texting all the time and using text language, it willaffect their learning and spelling. I think this because The boy is asking if he needs to know all the letters and the teacher are teaching them all over. ~

The picture shows that kids get used to texting and think that they can write with texting. The child doesn’t think he needs to learn all the letters.

yea this is a disgrace. The kid seemed to have mixed up regular letters with text letters. You should only speak english to benefit yourself.

The message of this cartoon is that texting is becoming to ruin the english language. Texting is used with short cuts of words and that's why I think teachers are becoming upset with so much texting. I know this because sometimes in school people write texting language in their work instead of the actual English words.

The measage behind this cartoon is that texting is bad for young kids. It is teaching them to not write properly. It is not good english and is bad for young kids.

I think this cartoon means that since you text most of the time the letters aren't the same as proper English. So it will hurt our learning

The message in this cartoon is that kids are not using proper language in text or out of text, which isn't good.

I disagree with this cartoon. The kid looks really young and a kid that age wouldn't have texting by then.

The message in this cartoon is that kids are not using roper language inside and outside of school, inside and outside or text, and inside and outside of the English language. This isn't good because soon people will start writing like this on important worksheets and mess up their future.

The kid thinks that the only writing he has to learn is texting. 1/10/2012 01:15:10 am
I think that this is a horribly portrayed message. It does not show anything valid because this kid is way too young to text.

Learn the English language. Not text language. It ruins the English language. I know because we did an easy on text language and have been doing things in class with the text language.

This is showing that teenagers are not caring about all the letters and english. I don't agree becuase on papers people know that they have to use the right english.

This cartoon shows how text messaging limits the amount Americans know and want to know about the English language. It's essential for everybody to know the proper English language later on in life.

I think that this picture is saying that when kids text. Most of the time they abbreviate and don't use proper grammar. This affects the way they use the english language in school in a bad way.
Gabriella

i think this picture represents that since people text all the time so like he doesn't know all the letters because when he texts he abbreviates the words so he doesn't know them all. Comments are closed.
