This Friday (November 11th) is Veteran's Day, the day that we honor those that have served our country.
Write a letter to a U.S. Veteran. You may type or hand-write, as long as it is neat. Your letter should include the following:
- Greeting, Body, and Closing
- Introduction: Introduce yourself. Tell why you are writing.
- Thank the Veteran for his or her service. List some ways the veteran's service has helped the country and some ways the veteran's service has helped you personally.
- Include a personal connection if you have one.
- Include 2-3 things that you wish for the Veteran. (ex: good health, prosperity)
-Thank the veteran again for his or her service, and tell the veteran that you are thinking of him/her.
** keep your letter upbeat. Talk about an interesting project you are doing or what you like to do for fun outside of school. All content should be appropriate and positive. I will be reading your letters before I send them out. I will grade them for completion and appropriateness. **
