Write a short story and post to your blog. Choose one of the following prompts: Superhero Themed-Prompts 1. Your superhero joins forces with an existing superhero (ex: Superman) to save the day. Write a short story that shows their collaboration. 2. Your superhero begins to lose his/her powers one day. Write a short story about the (possibly disastrous) results 3. A persistent newspaper reporter is hot on the trail to discovering your superhero’s identity. Write a scene from the story. Continue the Story Prompts: 4. The man walked into the field and squinted up at the sun. 5. She hurtled over the wall and kept running. 6. He reached for the detergent, but when he looked down at the object in his hand, he realized 7. She tried to remember who had talked her into this. 8. Someone must have broken it. Rubric: - has a beginning that draws the reader in (____/2) - tells a logical story (____/2) - expands the moment with detail & descriptive language (____/2) - ending wraps up the story (____/2) - no mistakes in spelling or grammar (____/2) Hand in with your project

Post your final expository essay to your e-portfolio page. DO NOT FORGET TO REMOVE YOUR NAME FROM THE HEADER AND FILE NAME! 2. Choose a poem or lyrics to school-appropriate song. In a short (3 paragraph) blog post, explain the meaning of the words and the message that you take from the song or poem. **(Note: find the lyrics on a lyric website. No videos are permitted).
