Imagine the scene: you’re at your locker, joking with your friends before first period, when suddenly, the fire alarm goes off. EEH EEH EEH! You cover your ears and groan, and follow the masses of students outside onto the soccer fields. You’re all milling around, wondering where to go. Teachers are shouting directions that no one seems to follow. It’s complete chaos. Now imagine a second scene of order. The alarm goes off this time, too, but this time you remember where to go because you’ve done this before: find your homeroom teacher under the basketball hoop and wait while she takes attendance. Smooth, easy, and you’re back in the building in time for your math test. The Feldman Plan for Fire Safety should be put into action because it’s safer, easier, and fills a gap in the current policy.
